I have not had Rick as a professor, but anybody with that type of experience and insight into the industry is somebody Husson should be proud to have teaching their students.

Rick Davis. I think about him every time I go to pick up a camera. I came to NESCom out of the blue, no experience in the video world, and he is the man that had the kindness to tell me, "It's about what you want to do, not what talent you already have.", and that has stuck with me.
Rick is the man Intro to Video students meet first. He graces freshman with polite kindness, and a patient ear. Rick allows you to grow your own confidence, be eager to do better, and learn from your mistakes no matter how upset you get. His love of teaching is pure, and that is so rare in education faculty these days. It would be a great shame to see him go, and I believe an even greater shame to allow his departure.
Budget cuts are for numbers. Husson's motto is Character and Humility. What kind of character does it take to turn away an asset such as Rick? He is a great man who is the embodiment of humbleness.

As someone whose assistance has proven crucial in helping new students get a leg up to navigate NESCOM's video department and ensure their success, severing ties with Mr. David would be a critical misstep. Husson, please do the smart thing and reconsider where your true priorities should really lie.

Rick Davis is probably the finest and most accomplished video instructor at NESCom and (by extension) Husson's disposal. He cares about the work, he cares about the students, and set the ground work for the what we video students will accomplish at the end of our four years. His assignments were the best explained, his lessons were the most organized and not one class period ever went to waste. Rick Davis is far more of an asset than any monetary gain from his departure.

Rick Davis was one of the most genuine teachers I have ever had. I had been struggling with issues not pertaining to school but he personally took time out of his schedule to help me with issues I did not understand. To let go of Rick is to let go of an extremely valuable asset to the Nescom, and a very human and loving person.

Rick is a great teacher and a great guy, He's helped encourage my love of video, and always appreciated what I and others have brought to the table, no matter how unorthodox it was.

Rick Davis is a great teacher and I would be extremely sad to see him go! He is amazing at what he does and he's one of only a few teachers I've had in my college career who's showed true passion about what he teaches. He always goes out of his way to help students and letting him go would be a HUGE mistake.

Rick was a great professor, who was dedicated to helping students learn regardless of their major or background. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, and it's very upsetting to imagine a video program without him. Not only is he a great professor, he is one of the nicest guys around. We all want RIck to stay.
