Music is a genre which speaks of a people's history, struggles, and contributions to the world. It is also a means of visibility and earning power. It is a means of disseminating informations and a platform for promoting values, ideals, and societal concerns. Salsa too, serves as an identity! While Salsa did not originate in Puerto Rico, Puerto Ricans put their unique spin to this genre, and brought it back to life in New York City, across the nation as a whole, and across the globe. Eradication of an ethnic group's uniqueness, means elimination of a people. Over time, we would cease to exist, as our children would have no respective history, nothing of their own, to pass on to the world at large.
Hoping all goes well nd ppl will sign nd move forward for the cause good luck! Que Viva la Salsa!!!

It's about time someone spoke up about this take over. Salsa and charanga was the music of puerto Rican Pioneers, who welcomed Cuban music into the United states, such as Cachao, la lupe, olga guillot, etc. Bring back our American Experience as per Latin Music.

Gracias Berselio. La musica es parte de nuestra vida y queremos que los ejecutivos de la emisoras entiendan eso. Queremos que ellos respeten la cultura y que sepan que nunca vamos a aceptar todas las escusas que ellos dan para no darnos la oportunidad para ser parte del la programa diaria. Frannie I can always depend on you as the voice of reason. Yes you are right. All we want is to be included. Our music has importance and is part of who we are as a people. Thank you so much for your support. All we need do is to keep on spreading the word. Thank you and hopefully we will see you all in July in Long Beach when Tipica Novel travels to California.

Adolfo that is exactly why we started this campaign. The lack of programming is the issue. We do not object to the other genres of latin music but we do object to being excluded. Thanks for your help We need many more like yourself to join up.

I thank those who have signed the petition, but we still have a long way to go. The music and our culture need to be defended against those who would see it all disappear simply because they are more interested in themselves. That is why it's so important to get as many people involved as possible. There is strength in numbers and hopefully we can get the support we need to make this a reality Thank you for your commitment. Please help spread the word.

I'll like to enjoy the Salsa Music everyday and it is really frustrating the lack of programs in todays radio stations catering to this type of music. Salsa music is a culture on its own and needs to be maintained
