We want The Spanish Broadcasting System to play Salsa/Charanga with the same veracity and frequency of airplay that is given to others genres

I'm from chicago area and it's ashame that the only Salsa station is on Sundays and it's only from 4pm to 6pm . With such a large latino population . But they have plenty of Mexican radio Stations 24/7.

Every big metropolitan city in every country in the world has a station that plays Salsa and not only the Spanish speaking ones . Therefore why not the capital of the world. Salsa and Latin Jazz artist depend on independent programs in Public Supported Radio and the internet to expose to our public our work. Their audience average has lowered due to our public has followed our music were they play it, in independent radio programs and the internet. Salsa Lovers like the Colombians, Peruvians, Ecuadorians, Venezuelans, Argentinians and many more are following us and they do not listen to Spanish Broadcasting for Salsa at all... You are missing that... WE Salsa Artist are still swinging!!!

This is a problem in all big cities. This happens in my hometown, Los Angeles, and my adopted city, Mexico City. It is everywhere. I would also include Latin Jazz in this mix.

This petition is long overdue. The Latin community is large and our Salsa music is a part of our culture and pride.
