Recently a young Christian couple were tortured and burned alive in kasur Pakistan. Shama was for months pregnant and had three children - Shahzad a boy aged 6, and two girls one aged 4 and one aged 18 months.

The children were pulled away and had to flee the scene with relatives as a mob of Muslims descended on the couple, following hate speech spread by local mosques that the couple had committed blasphemy, by supposedly burning Quranic texts.The children were in tears as they fled the scene where their parents were being tortured, beaten and insulted.They never saw their parents again.

This comes only weeks after the Lahore high court turned down Asia Bibi's appeal against the death sentence she received after a false blasphemy allegation was made against her, during an altercation with her co-workers.

Prince Charles has recently spoken out against the persecution of Christians by Muslims in the middle east how many more people must die or face death before Pakistan's government will reform/abrogate the blasphemy laws in Pakistan?

Often the perpetrators of these kinds of horrendous crimes are not held accountable for their actions and instead are freed after a short time of remand. We want the killers of Shahzad and Shama to face the consequences of their horrendous actions and we want to secure a change in the way the blasphemy law is used in Pakistan.
