I'm done having babies but can not face going back to my previous GYN. I felt like a file to them. The BC made me feel like a person....so rare in a medical practice.

It was such a sad day when 6 weeks postpartum my time at the Mercy Birthing Center ended. Finding well women care providers that support me in and out of pregnancy is not an easy feat, but I'm confident the MBC would thrive in this area!

The birthing center is an incredible place and I was thrilled to have my prenatal care there. I would absolutely love gynecologist care from the birthing center as well!!!

Is this a joke? Do you really think obtaining one thousand signatures is going to place a gyn doc at the birthing center? No wait, that Mercy Hospital would hire a doctor to do paps at a BIRTHING center?? It is a BIRTHING center, that is what they do, of course its awesome and wonderful-because you're having your baby!! But really, why stop there, maybe they could hire a neurologist as well so you can get your head examined after your pap? Guess what? Now its no longer a birthing center! apples/oranges This post is actually comical, a ranting, venting dialogue from someone who wants a kumbaya experience while getting a pap. hilarious

Would Love to be able to keep all of our ladies and their families we have come to be so close to. Women's health care is the right thing to do in the MBC .

I feel the same way this woman describes in it being such an amazing experience but also saddening when I realized I wouldn't be a patient anymore after the birth of our son. I would love for this to cone to fruition. Thank you!

The Birthing Center is a shining example for other hospitals to follow. Expanding its services would be not only a step forward for women in St Louis, but for health care in America. Keep blazing trails, MBC!

I am finished having children but would love to keep seeing the nurses for my women's health needs. The birthing center was an amazing place to giv birth and I wish I could still use their services !

Please start this asap! I have no desire to go back to my old gyn after receiving the excellent and personalized care at MBC. This is an amazing facility at makes me want to have more babies even though we swore we were one and done. I and my husband both felt valued and supported in our entire journey.

This is the best birthing facility I have ever been in, and the providers are the best I have ever had. It is a disservice to the women who birth here (and the providers) that they cannot maintain their relationship and knowledge and get all of their women's health care here.
