The only reason why this petition is up, is probably because of religion. As we can see from all these years of evolution, religion was merely a tool, meant to guide people when science wasn't understood in the past, and have already brainwashed people till this date. However, there are some 'smart' people who see how it could be used as a tool for manipulating followers of the religion, violating the very kantian, principle of humanity, using the people as a means solely as a means to and end. So blinded by the religion wash, and as specially by 'leaders', these people simply cannot mindset and choose to believe very thing else that is not written in their guide books is wrong, and without a need to question their true meaning as well as selectively choosing to believe ones that they like , and ignoring ones they dont. Apparently, some 'leaders' who has already been found and proven with a criminal breach of trust, and misuse of funds clearly already show that the money gave volutarily from the people, does not maximize utility of the people..., claiming that if he was wrong, he would be punished by 'god' , seriously, and followers are somewhat headless sheeps who cannot see, or accept the truth standing right infront and still keeps faith on protecting the wolf in sheeps clothing.
