Please don't let idiots ruin what is set to be the end of a very special year for Singapore. We are living in the 21st century and I thought Singapore was an enlightened country. I for one emplore you to keep Adam Lambert in your New Year Celebrations, he would surely be the highlight of the evening. Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous year in 2016.

A person's sexual orientation doesn't take away his hardworking ethic or his talent and brilliance as a performer. It is terribly unfair to not just Adam but also the entire team of people working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to put together this countdown show, working on the eve of a public holiday while the rest of the world is celebrating. Please spare a thought for these people as well. Singapore is a metropolitan city, one that is diverse in many races and cultures, and also one the recognizes and welcomes talent. We are happy to have Adam perform with us for Countdown 2016.

I've always supported Adam Lambert since his first appearance in American Idols. I've felt even more admiration for him after he announced his sexual orientation. I say we let his lovely voice be there to usher in our new year :)
