He is a good entertainer and as long as codes of conduct are adhered to, there is no basis for removing him from the show.

Adam has the right to perform in Singapore as much as he does in Los Angeles, Tokyo and Milan, no matter what.

Talk about living in the past! I can't believe how a small group of people can "hold a grudge" for so many years. Adam is a top-knotch performer with a terrific voice!

The petition to remove Adam Lambert from the countdown is utterly prejudiced and bigoted.
To assert that he is unfit to perform because of his 2009 AMA performance more than half a decade ago is not only judgemental, but also no longer relevant. Adam Lambert has respected the culture of the countries that he performed at, as could be seen from all of his other public performances. Likewise, other Singaporeans should also respect his sexuality, even if some of them may not approve of it. Mutual respect of others' differences is something that is inculcated in Singaporeans as our country is a multicultural and religious one. To wish to prevent him from performing because of his sexuality is hypocritical as it goes against the values that we are raised with.
In addition, the point in the above-mentioned petition about strippers in his latest music video, "Another Lonely Night", was taken entirely out of context on purpose. Anyone who had taken the time to listen to the entire music video would find that the song is talking about how lonely is the life of entertainers despite the appearance of glitz and glamour, as well as the attention showered on them. The showgirl and male stripper are merely two out of the four "characters" featured in his video. Their parts in his video were also not centred on their so-called lewd acts, but on their inner emptiness. Moreover, even though behaviours of showgirls and strippers are not something that is encouraged to be emulated, it does not mean that such professions are any lesser than others. The point of people engaging in such jobs is merely to earn money to survive, no?
Thus, my rebuttals about the points raised by the above-mentioned petition has shown that organisers of the petition has committed the fallacy of hasty generalisation. Their causes are generally invalid and such discriminating opinions should be abolished.
