No one should ever have their right to freedom of expression violated or imposed upon because of their sexual orientation. Just because Adam lambert is part of the LGBT community, it doesn't give him any less rights than other celebrities to go on stage and celebrate music the way we all do in the 21st century

Singaporeans cannot be narrow-minded nor discrimatory if we ever hope to advance globally. Being gay is like being straight; you cannot control it, you don't shun it. Petitioning to bar an artiste from performing on our island is the epitome of bigotry and intolerance, and shows our lack of empathy and compassion for others. So someone is different from you, "let's regard them lesser than others", is what you're saying, which is absolutely wrong, elitist and rude.
Adam Lambert should be allowed to perform not just in Singapore, but wherever he can because everybody should be so lucky to see him perform live.

If someone doesn't want to watch, they can don't buy tickets. They can change television channels. No one is forcing anyone to watch the performance.
Think about reciprocity. Would you accept someone else preventing you from watching or attending a performance you want even though they have the freedom not to watch or attend?

It is sad to see Singapore becoming narrow minded and intolerance for others. Those extreme Christians in Singapore wants to impose their "holy" thinking on us. In fact, they didn't realised that they are behaving like what her extreme Muslims in JB are doing. Imposing their "holy" thinking on us like wearing long dresses for non Muslim.

I may not be a huge fan of Afam Lambert's music but his is coming to singapore as an musical talent. His s caul orientation should not be questioned or discriminated upon. Our society truly needs to be a more embracing and open minded.
