Music should be enjoyed by all, and the sexual orientation of the artiste does not matter!! There may be artistes some people dislike, but it does not make sense to remove the artiste from the programme just because of these people! Turn off the TV instead!

Adam Lambert is a commercial performer - if you don't want sexually suggestive segments in a televised Countdown show, just put that in his contract. (He and his managers will surely know what's in their best commercial interests.) But he shouldn't be excluded for being gay, or because he's performed in a more risqué style elsewhere.

I am a mother of 2 and I genuinely don't believe someone's sexual orientation should be an issue, Adam lambert has exceptional talent, music is music, discrimination should have no place in our society, or even in the world. This is the petition I would want my kids to sign.

To the religious bigots: I'm pro-family too. I want my kids to watch this and know that people have the freedom to be who they are and not be judged by their sexual preferences. You can change channel and switch off your tv if you think his performance offends you!
