Disallowing Adam Lambert to perform at the Countdown 2016 is an action of "hate". "Hate" towards the gay community. Let us Singaporeans not be racist, sexist or biased towards any of the LGBTQ community.

Christianity doesn't teach people to judge and condemn based on sexual orientation. Christianity is about love and acceptance.

I simply do not understand this "I'm holier than thou" petition against a world class entertainer. Adam Lambert is a phenomenal singer and performer. Why all this choice of gender discrimination? Are we not the citizens of Singapore, pledging ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language, or religion....? Does this mean that we should shelf the likes of Kumar, who is our home groomed well loved entertainer? Please remember our strength as a tolerant one nation and embrace the joy that Adam Lambert will bring to us.

Dafug is wrong with Singaporeans not allowing him to sing??? What does his sexual orientation have to do with his performance as a singer.

Why not? Adam's got the best voice ever! And it's not that important he's gay! There are more important things to think about them! He can sing in the best way! So what's the problem with being gay????? Being gay is more important than being a very good singer??? If he's really good in singing but he's gay...people won't give a damn about him? If you want to judge...judge about his sings not about his personal things! PLEASE!

Narrow mindedness does not demonstrate progress of a nation at all. Definitely expected more of fellow singaporeans to have had more personal growth and not restrict others with their narrow-mindedness considering we just celebrated a milestone, our jubilee year?! You neither stand to gain or lose in the situation if he performs or not. Lastly, the fans that adore Adam do not adore him for his sexual orientation but his talent and when we advocate for this artiste, it will be because of his talent as well. Get over yourselves zzzz

The removal of Lambert from the line-up because of 20,000 signatures will have a chilling effect on the arts scene in Singapore. It will set a precedent that will affect Singapore's arts scene very badly as groups will be 'forced' to self-censor to avoid being targeted by the public and prevent these groups from bringing up such topics for discussion. If the removal does happen, then the Singapore government should be consistent and also ban the likes of artists such as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Marilyn Manson, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, along with bands the likes of The Rolling Stones, One Direction, and so many more.

Why do we even need a petition for this? The entire idea of people opposing him to perform just because he will be a "bad influence" is ridiculous. Teenagers are old enough to handle their own life choices and consequences. Don't blame it on Lambert just because you're homophobic. God, I am so ashamed for these Singaporeans.
