Please do a series.. I have never felt more love in my life than when I watched your shows.. I didn't grow up with a loving family only abuse. But this show always made me fell loved and close to God.. I think we were all so blessed when I could watch your shows.. Looking forward in seeing hopefully a new series.. Praiseing God .. Thank you

As a writer myself, I think the real story potential here would be in a new series, possibly on AMC or some such network. John Boy, now in his late 50s, living in Los Angeles with his family circa 1972, and producing the first season of a series based on his novel WALTON'S MOUNTAIN. Show the confusion and chaos of the early 70s, and John Boy and his wife trying to instill the old-school values into their children despite this. There would have to be frequent guest appearances by the other Walton siblings. Jason now working as a record producer in Los Angeles. Mary Ellen as a doctor in Virginia, and so forth. Keep the seasons short, 13 episodes each, which would keep costs down but also allow more focus on story. You wouldn't have to fill the more demanding 21 or 22 episode order. Just some thoughts.

It starts with all of the remaining playing themselves making preparations to start filming a reunion show. While on location they hop on a shuttle bus which accidentally drives off of a cliff. The rest of the show is about their separate near death experiences. Something along those lines.
