Common Core is an atrocity against our children. It needs to be repealed totally from Oklahoma and every other state. Legislators that voted for Common Core should be thrown out of the legislature.

COMMON CORE is NOT GOOD for OKLAHOMA!
It separates schools, communities and parents. It enslaves children. It eradicates individualism and uniqueness in children and produces cookie cutter students.
Oklahoma did not seek out CCSS; the initiative was presented as an eligibility enhancement by the U.S. Department of Education in its The Race To The Top grant.
There has been no cost analysis, legal analysis, legislative input or public input regarding CCSS/Oklahoma Academic Standards.
The Department of Education has eviscerated the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by issuing new regulations that allow nonconsensual tracking and sharing of this personal data with other federal agencies, with government agencies in other states, and with private entities.
The U.S. Department of Education (through the America COMPETES Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the Race to the Top competition) has required the states to develop massive databases about school children.
The Common Core initiative represents an overreach of federal power into personal privacy as well as into state educational autonomy.
The effort to nationalize and centralize education results in severe loss of state control of education and pushes states into a minimalist, common set of standards.
The Common Core standards are experimental, expensive, controversial, and have not been piloted.
CCSS states a goal to promote “career and college ready standards,” a euphemism for “school-to-work” programs.
Common Core has not proven to be state-led nor strictly voluntary; the U.S. Department of Education Secretary rages against states who reject the Common Core Initiative.

They expect our children to know all of this stuff from kindergarten my daughter is in 5th grade and comes home crying because she doesnt understand how to do it and of course i dont know how, she knows how to do it the "old fashion way" but no, she has to do it the common core way. My daughter was already very smart she doesnt need common core to make her smarter, in fact she isnt learning anything new if it werent for common core she would be in 6th garade but she is pobably failing math because of common core
