Stop Common Core and hurting our children with this debacle!!

Stop Common Core! If i could have blocked Bill Gate's bright, but sinister, mind, from conceiving and funding, this travesty, i would have! Common Crap isn't at the 30k per year Lakeside School his kids attend! Hypocrite!

The legislature has the responsibility as our fiduciaries to know what the final standards are before voting to approve them. As written, the current bills, HRJ1070 and SJR75, do NOT correct the problem – they MUST BE AMENDED. Do not approve an unfinished product with the “hope” that “changes” will be made. Trust is broken and we know that board members have promised that they will NOT accept additional changes to the standards, so it is up to our elected representative, to DIRECT that Changes will be made

I am opposed to common core. I have grandchildren who have been extremely confused by common core education. I have a grandson in the 6th grade who is now in pre algebra who is extremely confused with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I have a granddaughter who is in the 5th grade and has had difficulty with reading since the 2nd grade, where she was told all the time that she had to read faster. She tries to read so fast that she cannot comprehend what she has just read. I have had her read to me and I am constantly trying to slow her down. The teachers in her early years were telling her she needed to read faster so she could pass the common core test. she like to read at one time, now she finds it very frustrating, thanks to common core.

STOP COMMON CORE CRAP!! IT IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT'S PRINTED ON N NOT WORTH LISTENING TO, LET ALONE TEACHING IT TO OUR PRECIOUS CHILDREN!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

I am 100% against common core!!! This garbage and is just another example of government trying to tell us what we need. We know what we need and it's not more government control.

The cynical and intentionally deceptive actions of the standards writers involved in this agenda to ignore the will of Oklahoma voters is wrong. Please do not approve the standards being voted on today.

Common Core is setting our kids up to fail. Especially the ones who struggle as it is.

education is ill served with formulas for learning that make no sense and or are much more difficult to learn. When children that learned well in elementary are suddenly baffled in secondary school by irrational learning techniques and formulas something is wrong

I feel like the public school system is failing our children daily. If they would let teachers teach, I think things would be different. Both of my children are very intelligent and everyday the school breaks my first graders spirit. He has very little "want to" when it comes to reading, because of all the pushing and timed test at school.

My straight A students has never had an issues with her classes or grades til year (7th grade) not only is she unable to grasp the common core curriculum but I'm having issues helping her and the teachers aren't of any assistance or use and have shown they are having just as many issues as the students. My daughter begged for help and I emailed weekly for help to get this corrected and the teachers idea of help was putting her in a remedial math class instead. We need to go back to the basics and teach the kids the way we've been taught for decades without issue !!!

I once signed a petition & wish now that I hadn't because I am now more well informed.I have seen what is being brought into some of these School's as a Christian Mom I am horrified.I pray our schools can go back to when I went to School.We still had God In our School Prayer and times we're simplier for the children.They need to be allowed to learn at thier own level and not force something on them and put alot of pressure on them which I think it not good for the child emotionally.The Children should come first Not someone's agenda.I hope as Oklahoman's we do the right thing and say No to Common Core. Stop this! Common core is a joke With CC no child will excel . Everyone will just be common and formed into little robots. People are letting the government take over everything. Of we don't stand up and take our rights back, we won't have any!

This needs to stop!! It isn't right and needs to be corrected immediately!!
