Petition against the terminology ‘Asians’ to describe those convicted of sexual grooming of white girls

'Asian' could mean a number of things, it's far to vague and smears innocent Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and others.

Totally agree time to stop using he term Asian which implicates Hindu and seek people in crimes they have not committed

We need our own identity and we should demand for it. When in any conversation we should refer oursleves as 'Indians' or 'British Indians' or 'British'. We as Hindu community have to ensure that we teach and train others. Look forward to a debat on the three suggestions.

Japanese and chinese are also Asians

This term 'asian' is far too generic does causes confusion

The use of the generic word 'Asians' whilst it my be in the interests of the politicians for their vote-bank politics it continues to give licence to the culprits to target vulnerable girls of other religions within that generic identity.

Its strange that when referring to the N Ireland events Mp's and Media cane identify even the religion ie protestant and catholic, but here its "asian". Of course its deliberate and designed to denigrate Dharmic communites and protect abrahamic faiths

Indeed this is a major problem that needs to be rectified across all the media

Don't tar everybody with the same brush.
