I started this because I am tired of decisions about our shared history being made behind closed doors without input from the rest of us. People have been reaching out to share their own frustration about how these monuments change overnight without anyone asking what the community actually wants. We deserve the right to cast a ballot on these matters just like we do for our other local officials.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of how much we all value having a real say in our shared local identity. It is powerful to know that so many of you believe our community history belongs to us rather than to a few people behind closed doors.

We need to get this country back to the Republic she was intended to be. Once we do that, we won't need petitions like this, for we will already be doing it!
We all need to stop the BS or our children & our grandchildren & our great grandchildren won't know the history

Leave our history alone it must be voted on not torn up and relocated! Tax payers own these monuments and want them back!
