It's about time travellers stood up for themselves to finally be accepted in the country we were born in and the government should be our no. One supporter

Overdue but note that Travellers in Scotland have been more accepted and part of the Agricultural work force in the past.

Travellers and Roma are the most discriminated against group in Irish society. Their unique culture should be formally recognised, as a first step to redressing the inequalities they face on a daily basis

Travellers have been treated disgracefully both in Britain and Ireland. Time to apologise - and change.

The travelling people have been amongst the best carriers and interpreters of Ireland's traditional music and song. They are owed a huge debt of gratitude. And an apology

I support the Travellers in Ireland, Scotland, and England, who have carried songs and stories long forgotten by us "settled" people. Not only culture, but other survival skills for shelter and gathering food are still in their keeping.
