Freedom of speech and expression should not be a crime regardless of the message. Barry has as much right to this as anyone else.

Sorry but you can't back peddle on this type of public statement. If you're a public figure and make homophobic and transphobic comments in a public forum there is no apology that can be said to amend things because clearly this is how Barry feels and an opinion is a mind set, a way of thinking and this type of thinking is dangerous to youth, especially LGBTQ youth in a public school system. First, I would like to say that I admire all of you for your courage to stand up for what you believe and protect your need/ right for respect and acceptance. I apologize for the hurt and frustration you've endured throughout this process. ✨I would like to reach out to you all of you in earnesty and sincerity to please STOP STOP attacking my dad and keep the malicious anger and hate at bay. I lost my mom last year, I do not have grandparents and it is breaking my heart to see my only parent, a man who has been there for me through thick and thin, a man I know and believe in completely, to be dragged through the mud like this. He cares greatly and deeply about all people and has tirelessly served his community with support for decades now. I am the youngest of 7 kids in a blended family and my dad has had a hand in raising all of us. My sister Martina has spread malicious lies about my dad being some kind of child abuser which are COMPLETELY FALSE!!! I know for a fact he has not ever harmed any of us in that manner and she is the only one of us who has spoken out against him because she craves attention and has recently been engaged with her friends in the transgender community. She is using this scenario to deal with her personal unresolved, unrelated issues in a selfish way. Mr. Neufeld is not perfect and neither are you! He has admittedly made some mistakes, and initially used a poor choice of words on Facebook but has apologized and not retaliated to your threats and yet YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOUR WORDS AND BEHAVIOUR HAVE HURT HIM EITHER. Unfortunately, any single mistake he made cost him dearly and his words/ intentions were then twisted around in the media to the extreme. You all know how this happens, it's like the telephone game and it happens to everyone. We live in a country where we are innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. I am not against SOGI fully, but I do feel it is unnecessary, and it would perhaps leave some children more confused. Because there are no right or wrong answer to these questions they ask the kids, and I'm sure hope the kids are not told how to think either from this program/the educator either. If some parents really value this and is passionate with educating their kids about this, or if certain children are starting to question sexuality, then I feel it's the parents choice to see how they want to educate their kids on this.

I grew up in Vancouver and my wife was born and raised in Chilliwak. You need to know that one of Barry's Daughters has just come forward admitting that he severely abused is own children! How can we follow the words of a man who beat his own kids? How is it not child abuse to say that the "normal" kids in school are safe from bullying and discrimination but LGBTQ youth aren't? What is the harm in educating our children about different types of people in this world. Life isn't black and white and obviously none of you know what it's like to be these kids or to be the parent of these kids. We live in a "democracy" where everyone should be free to be who they want to be! Including our kids! That's why the school system is called a "PUBLIC" school system, it is supposed to include a safe space for every type of identity, race, religion and creed as long as it is not negatively harming anyone. Learning about the birds and the bees isn't just one point of view ok? If you don't like the "PUBLIC" school system then send your kids to a private school! God teaches to be compassionate and understanding. If you don't see god in all, you don't see god at all! Even the pope says to accept LGBTQ people! If you don't believe me about Barry brutally abusing his own children just wait for the interview to come out! And by the way the amount of people who support human rights and LGBTQ rights in Canada outweighs all of you narrow minded people by a long shot! Just you wait and see! Barry will be fired! The agenda of the elite and governments to divide and conquer will stop at nothing to create confusion and chaos in the young innocent children. These demons refuse to explain why there are so many DNA messed up people today. Courage to tell the truth. SOGI is not about stopping bullying - it is about indoctrinating children. No child should be subjected to bullying whether it is because they are missing a limb, cannot afford nice clothes or otherwise. This is like the Hitler Youth - wake up Canadians!

Thank you. This curriculum is atrocious and is resulting in palpable harm to students, including those who are now being labeled transphobic and racist and Nazis simply for stating in grade 2 that there are 2 genders.

This is no different than pushing religious beliefs onto a child. Let them find their own way without us telling them what their way should be. I have nothing but respect and admiration for many in the LGBTQ community but their are many who must learn that their word is not law and must be open to discussion on these topics.

This guy is the best of the best. Children can’t vote, can’t drive, can’t marry, can’t sign simple forms, but they can choose their gender. Makes perfect sense. Very glad to see that many sane people opposing this dangerous none-sense we are facing today.
