I will no longer stand by while the council ignores the crime problem while giving out raises. Refusing to respond to the public's questions regarding crime, refusal to discuss lean budget options, continuing to grant pay raises and increasing top administration salaries, allowing the citizens to be victimized by criminals while continuing defend spending practices that are not in sync with the current problems. We will not tolerate the dismissive and disdainful attitudes of these council members any longer. They are not doing their jobs and they should step down.

I'm with you and we have to start somewhere, why not at the top where these decisions are made and we as the public have to tolerate the consequences of their decisions...where can I go sign I seen Walmart but that stopped at 12

We moved out if Redding because of the high rates of living & crime. We have had several crimes committed to us and the RPD said they had "their" hands tied. Couldn't finger print, nothing. Why catch the criminals. It's all about money for taxes that are not applied correctly.

I would like to be able to do more shopping in Redding without being harassed, asked for money, afraid to stop at a gas station, etc. I would also like to enjoy some of the trails and park areas someday. I support the Redding citizens who are fed up with bureaucrats who say "we're powerless to do anything" but sure can get raises pushed through somehow!

A majority of my family members still live in Redding. I agree that something needs to be done to help this community where I was born and raised.

I moved my family here 10 years ago to start a business and grow our family! I have watched this beautiful town deteriorate to the point that moving my family and my business was seriously considered! But I have a renewed faith between the incredible efforts of this group and a very positive response from our new City Manager & Law Enforcement. It's time for a change in City Council,they have abandoned the people that voted for them. They have failed us and I'm afraid if this recall does'nt happen,there deep pockets and niave voters may re-elect them!

I avoid Redding like the plague...I do most of my shopping online. I am tired of being approached by panhandlers, scared to go into certain areas of town and worried to park my car ANYWHERE in fear of it getting stolen.

I live in Shasta county and try to spend my money anywhere but Redding. The criminals run the streets there. The council has done nothing to improve anything except give themselves raises.
