The local youth are very talented. It is disappointing to know that they must travel from state to state to play.

We’ve had some amazing players come out of our town. Let’s make room for more! More ice, more opportunities

I played Hockey from the ages of 8 to 16 when our Town team was disbanded after winning the state championship. I would hate for other kids to lose the opportunity to play the sport they love simply because there are not enough teams or in my case, enough coaches.

Unfortunately my son did not get this chance - but this hockey program will thrive at the high school level!

I officiate hockey in GWS and have seen these young players evolve from squirts to midget. It is a shame that when they finally get to a very competitive age where they can showcase their skills acquired over the years of hard work and long hours which will be the final competitive hockey season for many of them - please allow High School Hockey in Glenwood Springs !!

Many of our hockey kids have put hundreds of hours into this sport starting at age 5, crafting their skills. Club no longer offers competitive hockey for high school aged kids. Having our kids drive to Aspen or Vail to play high school hockey is crazy. An Re-1 hockey team is the answer

GameOnCamps.com enjoyed working with Glenwood's younger players this summer, and would love to see a high school program! Our former professional and Olympic coaches would be happy to come alongside the high school coaches as they launch and build this sport.

The program and players are well developed through Grizzlies Hockey and the JV program with Yampah Mountain. It already has good momentum and it would be a shame to drop it as a High School sport option at this point.

I was super happy to get a girls locker room, so a high school hockey team would be really fun.
