Our children are slipping away. Learning and education are essential! Teachers are essential!! There can be a balance; high risk teachers can teach virtually, high risk children can learn virtually. Send these teachers and children back to school!!

You are doing a disservice to our kids with this virtual learning. I have a 4th grade boy and you are ruining the relationship that he and I have, by me having to be the school work enforcer. This has been a full year of misery for all. It’s time to just open it up. For those that want to stay virtual.. do it. For those that have kids that NEED school, do it!

My children have not benefited from virtual learning. Their assessments and test scores show their decline! It is heartbreaking to see this because they were striving in school face to face. My husband and I are both essential workers so our children have been in a daycare facility since last March. We are not able to watch their google meets and make sure they are staying on task each day. It is very disheartening knowing my children are falling behind and will continue to decline until schools are opened back up where they have their teachers undivided attention. Please do what’s best for these children. Teachers are ESSENTIAL I don’t understand how they are not deemed as such. Please think of the children and get them back to school where they belong so they can strive in learning.

Airing "out of an abundance of caution" is not working for the vast majority of our children. Let parents have a CHOICE in sending our children back. Our kids are not super spreaders. The schools are not super spreaders. There are many conflicts of interests playing out here. Get the children back IN school. I drive by the empty school buildings everyday and think this is such a waste of our tax dollars as our kids are staring at a computer screen sitting at home.

Our children NEED to be face to face in school! Our kids are being neglected! These teachers are doing a wonderful job, but these children need to be in the classroom. Our children are suffering as far as grades go, they can’t pay attention when the teachers are having to make children mute themselves because of background noise, playing with toys at home. It’s just so unfair to them!!

Please give the children and parents that want to go back to school the opportunity to do so. I am all for parents choosing what's best for their children, but we shouldn't let others that do not know our children make life altering decisions for them. My children desperately need to be around their peers. I do not want them to lose who they are.

The covid numbers do not in any way or faction support the schools being closed! The school should open without prejudice.

Slowly integrate the children back into the normal social environment that they belong in. Our children need this to function, grow, and thrive. Please send em back!

Be considerate of those who want to teach virtually and I don't care who is in the classroom with my child as long as there is SUPERVISION! THESE BABIES BEING LEFT AT HOME IS RIDICULOUS!

My kindergarten needs hands-on instruction from a highly qualified teacher that is able to provide her the education she needs. We continually advocate to get the kids off electronics but we are throwing more to them with remote learning and adding Lexia, Dreambox, etc. This age group is the least vulnerable to catch COVID-19 and is least likely contracting it from school to home per research provided during the recent BOE meeting! Their little brains are like sponges right now and we aren’t doing them any justice by holding them away from their proper education they deserve, which is in-person at school with their highly qualified teachers and peers!
