We Support OFCS following Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s Recommendations

Although my children do not go to OFCS, I support the children being able to stay home and learn remotely.

Sending kids back into school and trusting that they're going to follow the rules is hilarious. I remember high school, unlike most protesting FOR kids to go back, as it was only 10 years ago for me, and definitely know its a mad house that won't be controlled and will definitely end with positive results and eventually kids being sent home anyway for online schooling.

Please follow the boards recommendations related to school reopening.

I want my kids at home until there is a vaccine

I have my degree in early education, so I understand the importance of having children in school; however, at this time I do not feel that it is safe for the students or staff to resume in person school.

My granddaughter attends OFCS. I want her and all who attend or work at OFCS to be as safe as possible.

While I’m not a parent, I live in the OF school district and I support that the Board is trying to do what is best for the kids and our community

We need to let public health officials make the science decisions. As a school district, we need to defer to the experts and act accordingly. One of our principle tenets of the district is to “be safe”. While I respect the arguments of others, there are many good arguments to be remote at a time when safety cannot be assured. At the end of the day, safety needs to trump other factors as these are literally life or death matters. While not perfect, educational and emotional and physical needs can be addressed in other ways — but there is no way to replace a life.

Students and teachers need to be protected from dying or have long term effects from Covid. Classrooms will not be “normal” or encourage socialization. They will have to sit at their own seat all day work no collaboration or conferencing with teachers. Intervention will be difficult from 6 ft away.

Safety for all students and schools staff is priority

I hope our children can go back to school as soon as is reasonably possible.

Keep our kids and our community safe!

Schools should follow the recommendations of people concerned with health. Not those looking for free babysitting. Remote educational zones can be created for families who need supervision at the schools and aroun OF: church sanctuary, church Sunday school rooms, community centers, even store fronts can be used to help create more space.

Thank you, I believe those guidelines are there for a reason. I do not want dangerous community spread right before flu season.

I support OFCS district in following the County Health Department’s recommendations regarding the safe opening of schools. Kids need to be in school. But only when it’s safe for them, the staff and their families.

My child is not school aged yet, but I think keeping schools online for now keeps the whole community safer!
