We Support Local Control of Education: Stop Common Core in Wyoming

I have a second grader and has always been excellent at math and has always score high until this year. The school has put her in a after school program to help her. Not once has ever brought home any homework from her teacher in class. Working with her and seeing that she is struggling with the common core method. We started showing her the standard method. we worked with her of about 30 minutes. Many problems both the Common Core and the standard method. It took her 3 to 4 minutes to get through the common core and never once got the right answer. When we did the standard it took her maybe 30 seconds and got it right every time! That set me off. We need to stop Common Core in the public school. I am going to fight for my children. If I have to I will send them to private schools to the can get a real education and to try to be dumbed down by the government.

The government should not dictate what is taught in schools while ignoring input from parents and local educators. Much of what common core teaches is also absurd and complicated, such as the bizarre math methods and the twisted sex ed course.

No Common Core!!!

STOP Common Core. It is destroying our kids on so many levels. Our rights, our kids!

Common core is not the way to educate. Our nation deserves more than this

Kids / Teacher's deserve better!!

Think children should learn what ever way works for them and want my kids to love school again!!

Please get rid of this and let us teach our children the variety of different ways they learn.

Remove common core!

I am researching common core, and i am very scared, and ready to pull my children from school. This time in our government reads like Goerge Orwells Animal Farm. The pig is walking on two legs.

Federal control over our schools is unconstitutional as well as detrimental to parental choice and their childrens' overall education.

I'm against gathering info on individuals thru the schools

Keep education control out of federal hands
