We Support Legal, Safe, Motorized Recreation in Whatcom County

There should be more places developed for utv/atv riding.

Keep this sport alive. We care about the environment, and want to do all we can to keep areas open to us all.

We need place to be able to ride . It's a passion of ours and we should be able to do what we love doing without worrying about wether or not we are going to get in trouble

Off road use is a continuously growing, family friendly sport. The off road community is in desperate need of more public land to support this. Also, those of us who are older and/ or handicapped need motorized access to enjoy our public land because we can't hike.

Give the boy's a legal and protected area to ride

Future generations need safe and legal areas to enjoy the many forms of motorized recreation in Whatcom county!

We need a new off-road park in Whatcom County. This promotes safety for all, on- & off-road.

The majority of land in Whatcom County is in public ownership, yet there are no authorized ORV trails on those public lands. Similar to skateparks, sanctioned riding areas allow law abiding citizens to be active in an area. Without a sanctioned park, only the scofflaws ride. Of those groups, which seems more likely to contribute to volunteer maintenance efforts? Opening a park is a smart way to improve the safety and self policing of the ORV community, and allows for more effect mitigation of erosion and other environmental concerns.

We need a place closer then having to drive 30-45minets away or even longer and it will bring joy to all the the people who love dirt bikes arc and orv’s

We deserve to have a place to ride in the county where we reside. If property owners want dirt bikes to stop riding by their property, then we need a place to ride. If this doesn’t happened they will continue to deal with bikes riding by their property. It’s as simple as that.

I support opening another off road recreaton area.

I would love to have a new ORV park in the Pacific Northwest Walker Valley and Reiter pit are both great but a new one in Bellingham would be awesome

Washington state needs more official riding areas.

The northwestern portion of our state doesn’t adequately meet the recreational requirements of the ORV community. There is a lack of available riding areas for us. This issue does not exist for a majority of other outdoor recreational user groups. The ORV community is underserved today. Opening public land for ORV recreation in the northwestern part of our state will help alleviate the inadequacy and reduce crowding in nearby Walker Valley.

We need this.
