I am a neighbor, friend, and supporter of Mitch Berg and of Fuego. Like Mitch, I moved to the south valley because it called to me. Him and I have talked and both agree that as an artist, there is no better place to feel included and part of something. I believe Mitch has the purest intents with Fuego, not only to be a part of an inclusive neighborhood (no matter race or trade), but also to be an inspiration to those who are also crafters and tradesmen, giving them opportunities to have an outlet for their passions through grants, workshops etc. to further their desires.
I admire Mitch, Fuego, and all who have helped in his mission of partaking in a beautiful culture, creating Beauty from the ruins of a dying neighborhood, and restoring (not ruining) a beauty that once was.

Mitch Berg’s outreach in the South Valley has met with tremendous success. The next step is to have access to a physical space with equipment, tools, and materials that allows the participants to complete their projects.

I believe in Mitch’s vision. I believe that it will become a powerful resource for the communities Mitch lives and works within. And I believe that Mitch has the maturity and vision to offer his vision as a service to his communities. Please allow him to proceed.

Mitch is creating an effort of positive change for his property and neighborhood. Change is inevitable and this one is based on people being creative and not a corporate greed grab. His efforts to reach out to his neighbors and city are examples of his intentions and willingness to work with and not against the south valley.

Mitch is acting with a spirit of pure generosity and generative creativity. It is exciting to see how he has turned his property, once an abandoned shack where heroin users got high, into a place where these same people can gain skills, confidence, and paths out of addiction. It is change, and it is entirely positive!
