Transparency of any elected official is essential. Mr. Zimmerman’s “brain fart” is inexcusable.

Scott Zimmerman’s actions and statements have disqualified him from office. He can best serve Aspinwall by resigning.

The arrogance and narcissism of this person is trump-like. When asked of he would resign, his arrogant smirk and comment that he wouldn’t because he didn’t feel that it rose to that level. I guess committing a felony is no big deal to him!

The mayor committed a felony of the Third degree. If he gets a pass, does that mean the citizens get a pass also? When he is involved in meetings, people will think that they could be recorded by him.. they have lost all trust. This town deserves better! In the council meeting, he acted like what he did was no big deal and didn't even express remorse. How can we have a person that who is in charge like that who is not honest? Additionally, when he listed his reasons for running for mayor at the meeting, he did not mention anything about helping the citizens of Aspinwall or trying to make the community a better place. I am very disappointed and upset about his actions and wholeheartedly agree that he should resign.

I don't know Mr. Zimmerman and I don't know what his intentions were, but based on the last Council Meeting it appears to me that he has lost the trust and confidence of his colleagues. And that is not a good recipe for effective governance or leadership. I think it is best for the town if he steps aside.
