We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

I commend this teacher for his dedication to the students of this school. He tried reasoning and enforcing the rules with the correct protocol and procedures and then went beyond the norm to ensure student safety. I'm sure he didn't leave his house that morning thinking " li want to jump on top of a moving car this morning" Maybe nothing would have happened on this particular morning. But a precedence would be set, before long who knows what will happen. I don't think I would have the nerve to do this but if somebody doesn't step up in these type of situations, tragedy will happen. School administrators and districts need to step up so that teachers like these are not afraid to do the right thing. I'll leave you with this one last thing to think on...if God forbid your school had a shooter tomorrow, what kind of teacher would you want protecting your children? Like I said he should be commended!

That teacher had every right to try and stop that parent from disobeying safety rules. If he was wrong, then why do you have teachers outside patrolling traffic in the first place if they’re not allowed to enforce the rules???

This teacher should be very proud of himself. Likewise, Dulles and Ft. Bend County should be thrilled to have this young man as one of their own. Unfortunately the news coverage seemed to be one-sided because there was no FBISD representative response or statement backing up the teacher or at least reminding it’s prohibited to driving in certain areas during drop-off. This teacher should be commended for a job well done.

Entitled mom endangering kids and this teacher as she tried to get around him!! The only one deserving discipline here is the mother. What are we teaching students by disciplining the teacher and not the mother breaking the rules??

The coach was in the right. The mother was wrong wrong wrong!

The poor choices of someone to endanger children should not adversely affect one who would put his/her own well being at risk for their safety.

No adverse action should be taken against this teacher. He was trying to keep students safe from harm.

As a fellow educator I applaud Mr. Morgan and his actions. We need more people like him. Thank you Mr. Morgan for being a real hero!!

Kudos to a great teacher willing to do whatever is necessary to stop a wrong.

Thumbs up for you. You did the right thing. I would have done the same thing. Mother had no right to drive through the cones. That’s what the cones were there for is to block off cars. Some people just think they’re above the rule. Shame on them.

I am a public school teacher’s aide from Bowling Green, KY. I am in support of this man because he acted heroically! Well done!

Coach Young was doing his job and that entitled mom should be fined for breaking a law on school property.

I believe he did the right thing. Stopping a woman who believes she's entitled to put kids in danger because her kid has to be somewhere.

Supporting Mr. Morgan from Ashburn, VA! We deal with carline situations like this all the time in our community and I would support any teacher who takes this type of action to protect children!

Teachers protecting their students should NEVER be reprimanded. The thought of adverse actions on the part of the school district is absolutely ludicrous. Please show your support for the thankless job teachers do.

This is exactly the type of person I want around my kid—someone who is willing to do what is necessary to protect children. Mom was wrong. Her lack of planning should not endanger others. She is not above the rules! What kind of example is she to her child? The WRONG type!
