We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

Coach Young did exactly what any mother who's child might be endangered by this woman's dangerous and entitled behavior would want a teacher to do - take swift and decisive action to protect the safety of those students. Obviously asking nicely didn't work, as the driver IGNORED the first teacher, so clearly the situation had escalated by this point and I laud his quick reaction & would be dismayed if he were to be reprimanded for potentially having saved a life.

Her actions were careless and selfish his actions were selfless and excusable. Keep him and give her the well earned fine for not following the rules she’s clearly aware of.

Isn't cutting through the parking lot to avoid traffic illegal anyway? Rita should have been ticketed and the teacher should have been given a medal.

This young man did the right thing! This woman feels like she can disregard rules just because she can’t manage her schedule and she could’ve hurt a child. I’d rather see him in the hood of her car rather than an elementary aged child under her car because she drove into an area where that child normally felt safe to walk but on this day he/she wasn’t safe because of an ignorant parent.

This woman is everything wrong with America

Please do not take action against him if my daughter attended your school I would someone would protect in this manner.

It is an outage that this teacher could risk his safety for that of his students and somehow be subject to disciplinary action and ridicule. Let's imagine the impatient mother was in another set of shoes and her child was struck in a school parking lot because someone with poor time management skills felt a sense of entitlement and disobeyed strict safety practices. I can imagine she would be distraught over the lack of organizing on the part of the school. This is horrible. Good job coach.

I think his actions got the point across. Being late is not an excuse or a justification to disregard traffic enforcement on school grounds that are under a teacher's authority.

As a parent, I understand the importance of following drop off rules. He was doing his job and should not be punished over an entitled parent that cared only about herself. She needs better time management not excuses. Kuddos & thanks to the responsible teacher!!

He was protecting children. She set a horrible example for every kid out there. She should be fined.

Good for that teacher standing up against parents who think they can bend the rules.

The teacher acted in best interests of the children. The parent should be given a citation and ordered to attend traffic school, at the very least. Some community service directing school traffic might benefit her as well.

The teacher did the right thing to protect children where some parents are not considering their wrong action.

It's ridiculous that a grown ass woman breaking the rules gets an apology and might even get this man in trouble.
