I do this duty every day. Entitled parents who think their problems are the only ones. Asking nicely doesn't suffice as our SRO had to tell one parents that what she was doing I could press charges because it is assault with a deadly weapon. If you hire this teacher you are essentially telling these self entitled parents that is ok to do whatever you want in drop off line. Essentially putting children and staff at risk every morning. Mornings and afternoon would chaos as every parent would never follow the rules and anything staff says will be ignored. Be very careful how you proceed and think of the fall out it would cause. This man deserves his job, you will NOT find another as committed to his kiddos. If you want to make a difference this petition for a law that makes it illegal for parents to disregard school pick up and drop off rules and procedures. They're behaviors are actually putting lives in danger. DO NOT SEND THE MESSAGE THAT ITS OK TO BREAK THE RULES AND OTHERS WILL PAY THE PRICE!!!!!

I feel he did the right thing. He was given a job and upheld his duties, and now he has to go through this because and irresponsible mom wanted to break some rules? What are y’all teaching the kids and community by punishing him?

This teacher did his job. And he wasn't rude. Rita was late and didn't want to follow rules to protect kids. I've been late too, but I still care about other children's safety. Shame on Rita.

No action should be taken against a hero trying to protect student and parents that follow rules and are on time. Rules are made for a reason and it's taught in Elementary school. A lesson that parent blatenly disregarded multiple times by her own account.

He didn’t now if she had a gun in her car! His concern is the kids safety. If she shot him he would be a hero but because she was late he is crazy !

If she would have had a gun he would have been a hero. She cpuld have hit a child in the line or caused a wreck in front of those kids. Follow rules! You are not are no better than any other parent. Just wait in line or go the right way. Maybe since it was staar testing she should have been more responsible getting her kid to school on time. Good job teacher. Protect those babies.
