This man is a hero, you really don’t know what he may have prevented. We need more teachers like this.

This teacher has my complete support! Some people think they are above the rules and this is the example they set for their children! This is why parents now seem to run the schools instead of the teachers and staff. Do not punish the teach because the parent broke the rules. She obviously was not going to follow his instructions no matter what he did or said.

No one has the right to break the school rules that were established for our children's safety. Today its one parent doing this, tomorrow its more parents and soon high school students will do the same when they barely know how to drive safely, and if they get into an accident that will scar them for their life, we can point to parents like this Rita to teaching everyone to break laws.

The district should celebrate teachers who goto extraordinarily efforts to protect students, not apologize for them.

Parents who don't think the rules apply to them jeopardize rhythms, routines, and the safety of ALL, not to mention that they are being poor role models for their children.

My children don’t go to Dulles but I’ve had kids in the District since 2001 and I can say the behavior in the pickup/drop off lanes at our schools has gotten worse. You did what we all want to do! Thank you for watching out for all of our children!!

Rita was in the wrong. Don't reward her by punishing the teacher. Reward him for protecting children and standing up for the rules.

I am not a teacher and my children are all grown, but I feel the frustration the teachers have day in day out about this issue. This teacher must have said once too many time to a parent to not cut in line. Teachers, especially this teacher, needs total support from administration.

A child was just killed across the street from there because of irresponsible driving. This teacher is a hero in my book

We don’t go to Dulles, simply followed this online- this man did what MOST parents who’ve been sitting in car rider lines for years want to do when they get cut off or cut in front of! People need to learn manner and how to follow the rules! How are we to teach our children etiquette if parents don’t follow it! I commend this man and his actions! Maybe people will start to follow up the rules!

You did exactly what you are charged to do ... protect the students in your care and enforce the car line procedures. We are behind you 100% - keep up the good work.

It's time to stand up for our teachers and dismiss entitled parents and students!

His behavior may have been a little extreme but rules are rules. When parents disregard the rules in the carpool line, it puts the children at risk. Kudos to the teacher for protecting our children.
