I am so glad someone stood up to people who think they are entitled to breaking rules.

Too many people think the rules don't apply to them because they are in a hurry. Good for the teacher to do what it took to ensure safety!!

He is a rock star! The lady needs to get up earlier in order to get her child to school, instead of assuming that she is the exception to the rule. Shame in the district for not having his back and shame on the TV channel. Rita? Who does this? A dedicated professional that takes his job seriously.

For the past 7 years I have been driving my children to this school, and we see cars trying to sneak through the bus loading area almost weekly. The teachers have always talked calmly to the cars that violate the rules, and the drivers were usually apologetic and coorperative. We thank all of our teachers who try to keep our children safe every day. Thank you Coach Young for doing your job, and handling a unreasonable and irresponsible parent as best as you could at that time.

I wish there was a petition to reassign that lady’s kids to another school. Follow the rules!

This teacher does not deserve the irresponsible criticism of a woman that brought her child late to school on such an important day per say and the disobedience of child safety traffic rules! The fact this woman escalated this to the media is both selfish and disrespectful to the FBISD school district! She is showing her Child and other people you can bring a person / teacher down through her own dissobidients to follow rules! Teacher have a tough job, don't let this good teacher go! You need more like him!!'

If a child would have been crossing st the time this parent is cutting line, I would have probably done the same thing this teacher did to protect students. I had an incident where a parent went the wrong way and cut through the school parking lot. I almost had a head on with her vehicle!!!! 110% agree with this teacher action!!'

The woman driver is absolutely wrong for what she did by violating safety rules.

Have family that attend this school and fully support this teachers action. Too many accidents on this street and young children have been hit.

He was protecting HIS kids that are 6-12 year olds and don't know how to deal with traffic. She was selfish and she would've been happy if he were stopping someone from hitting her 2nd grader. Regardless if there were children or not- that man felt so strongly about the need for safety; he endangered himself for other people's children. I hope the district tailors their message more towards they don't approve of risky behavior but they do love when their teachers enforce rules and dedicate themselves to protecting their students.
