Mr. Morgan is indeed a hero. If he is disciplined for protecting his children then shame on the school district. He behaved appropriately In the situation. Shame on you Rita!

The parent was WRONG. She thought she was above the rules and could do as she pleased because she was late. Those are natural consequences- you arrive late, you wait in line, you don’t get to cut through an elementary school to buck the system. Your child is not special. You are teaching them the wrong way! The teacher demonstrated how her reckless behavior could have had serious consequences- imagine if that was a child who was trying to cross the street! TWO teachers told her she couldn’t go through there. She’s a fool

This man did nothing wrong besides protect the lives of children. What if a child was hit? She illegally entered a blocked off area. She derseves to be ticketed.

She was dead wrong. What if a child had been hit because he thought he was in a safe zone because SHE was late. Leave him alone

Fellow teacher-agreeing and sympathizing with this incident. How are we supposed to teach children when they have examples like this? Props to him for doing what many of us have only dreamed of doing!!

I don’t even live there and I support what this gentleman did. The driver thinks rules don’t apply to her and thinks it’s ok to endanger other people’s children as long as her late child gets to school. Then tried to smear his reputation. She’s a loser.

He is definitely a hero in my eyes! Rita acts like it’s ok to go in blocked off areas.

This teacher did exactly what any parent or educator would want him to do, put safety first. If Rita was allowed to proceed other parents would follow her lead. This maybe a mixed bag of publicity for the school now, but in the end parents want their students to go to a school where teachers will do whatever it takes to protect their babies.

The child should have exited the car and walked when they saw the safety cones in place.
