When you make the decision to be a teacher, you sign are signing up to wear many hats. One of which should not be the role of a human shield protecting students from those who deliberately choose to not follow the rules and put children directly in harm's way.

I support this teacher.Far too often there are teachers that get the short end of the stick simply because there are people not following the rules.I am also angry because of the news report by Fox portraying him as a villain. That man is a hero!

This teacher needs to be praised for doing what was right. This parent should be fined for going through a BLOCKED area after being told multiple times to turn around.

This teacher should be recognized for his bravery. That woman should be ticketed for not following traffic instructions.

Mrs Rita’s running late is her problem. She should not make it someone else’s problem. She is no more entitled than every parent that has to wait in long lines. The teacher is looking out for safety of the students. You have to put student safety first. If she had hit a student with her reckless behavior this story would have been reported differently and you would blame teachers for failing to act. Rita is not the victim, the students are the potential victims. This teacher should not be reprimanded for doing the right thing. He stood up and did what everyone else wants to do but is to scared to do so.

I have volunteered as a parking lot parent helper at my son’s elementary school for 3 years when he was younger. It is wrong for parents to not follow the simple safety rules. I’m sure this teacher was just frustrated with how some parents feel they are above the rules. He’s not a bad person or teacher. Use this as a teachable moment and then come up with a plan to document those people that don’t follow the rules so they can be charged with some violation.

I am a teacher who has been on the front line of the car drop off and pick up line for years. While most people are courteous and follow the procedures, there are entitled people like the woman in this case who will drive around the line, drive over cones, park and GET OUT in a moving drop off line, speed through the parking lot, text on their phones while picking up, yell at tge teachers standing out there in the rain or heat or cold, and even drive up within inches of the crossing guard who is stopping traffic for children to cross in order to intimidate. This man is my hero.

He put himself in danger to protect his students from a selfish and entitled person who could have run over a student. Watching the video you see the parent continue to drive after he is on the hood. What if this had been a small child in front of her car instead of a grown man. Arrest the woman for child endangerment and reckless driving, and give the man a raise.

If the mom was in a construction site trying to do that and endangering workers lives, she would have been arrested. The safety of the students is more important then her getting anywhere on time.

Shame on that parent!!!!!!!!!! Give that teacher a raise. That parent should be teaching her children there are consequences for runninglate and continued to follow the rules that are in place for all of the children's safety.

I don’t even know what to say after viewing the news broadcast, except that entitlement is a very concerning issue and a big problem for our youth today. I support this teacher and everything he does day in and day out for his “kids”!
