The parent was clearly the one in the wrong here. There is never a valid excuse to break rules that are put in place for the safety of the children. She should face discipline, not this teacher.

He clearly was doing his job. The parent decided she did not need to follow the clear directions that were given to her. She made a choice. He made a choice to protect students.

I PROUDLY support his actions. He is protecting the safety of elementary school students! I hope he doesn’t receive anything more than a “warning”

This young man did the right thing to protect his students. The only individual in the wrong is the woman who put herself above everyone else and didn’t think the rules applied to her!

The parent was completely in the wrong. The teacher was following orders from his Superior as well as keeping children safe from his superiors. This parent needs to learn that all rules apply to everyone. She just does not get a free pass just because she was running late to drop off her own child. She needs to follow the rules and follow the drop off pattern just like every other parent. If you discipline this teacher you continue to prove the reason why more and more people are leaving the teaching field and why I, as a teacher, discourage college students from becoming a teacher because of parents like this. And because of Administrators that will bow down to a apparent just so the school does not get negative attention.

The parent was the one acting ridiculous, then unwilling to accept any responsibility.

This man is a hero. The lady needs a serious lesson, and needs to apologize for her actions.

I have been the parent to direct the traffic before and after school and he did the right thing. The woman who filed the complaint should be ticketed and banned from the property. This man is my hero.

This teacher did the right thing. This parent is part of the problem in this world of entitlement. She was wrong on soany levels. He was only trying to protect the kids and others in the drop off area.

Keep standing up for the right of students to be safe, and against parents demonstrating entitlement to their kids. From a fellow educator, with respect!

The parent was in the wrong, trying to circumvent the traffic flow that was set up for **the safety of the kids**. *The cones were set up for a reason.* The principal should get involved and correct the parent. I support Mr. Morgan in his efforts to do his job (although in an unconventional way) and protect the students at his school.

Coach Young should be praised for protecting children. Not only did the driver go around cones, she ignored two other teachers. Had this been a bad guy, Coach Young would be hailed a hero for stopping them. This mother ignored all rules and jeopardized the safety of the elementary students. Mr. Young did the right thing and I hope he is not punished. If anything, forbid the mother from dropping off her kid and make her child ride the bus since the mom doesn’t know how to wait in line like everyone else.
