Rita needs to learn how to follow rules!!! Way to go, Mr Morgan! You are a true hero and someone I would fully trust with my children.

I applaud this teacher! I’ve taught third grade for 15 years and he did what he had to do to stop a threat! This woman was not following the rules and endangering children. Apparently we expect teachers to jump in front of bullets, but not cars. Ok. Got it.

Why is this even a petition, he was clearly right. She owes him a public apology.

I’ve seen too many patents cut through and too many kids in danger.

This teacher did the right thing! It’s is completely unacceptable for her to feel like she can drive through cones and admit that she had already been told once she could not go the way she was going. She could have hurt other children by going through cones and blocked areas.

Teachers like this make me feel so much safer knowing how much they care about our babies. FBISD, everyone is watching, do the right thing here.

I stand with Coach Young. That lady was in the wrong; she apparently doesn't believe the rules apply to her. She could have injured a student. Had that been the case, blame would no doubt be placed on the teachers standing there for not taking action to stop her. Don't make the mistake of punishing them for taking action. What message does it send if you do? Do you want more people cutting through there? You better find a way to punish the person who is truly (and completely) at fault. Good job Young! Thank you for protecting your students!

This lady was entitled and should be punished not the hero teacher.

The driver ignored traffic cones, one teacher and then Mr. Morgan. He talked to her first and she STILL drove around him. What else should he have done to make her stop? She wasn't listening to him talk and SHE was endangering student's lives.

I am a teacher. I also teach broadcast journalism. What a bias, pathetic spin on the story! It only adds to the negative depiction of teachers. I am proud to be a teacher and I will show my students this segment on how NOT to cover a story.
