I believe that our parents are confused. First they expect our teachers to jump in the line of fire to protect the children they teach. Now that one actually does something to make sure his students are not in danger, hes in trouble. He probably shouldnt have jumped on the car but she was ignoring everyone and continued to drive through a school she had no business at. She should get a ticket for driving around the cones that blocked off the area she entered. Who cares if you're late. Be on time next time.

I'm an elementary PE teacher who does drop off duty every morning. All you gotta do is follow the rules. It's not about you, it's about the kiddos safely getting into school. Props to the PE teacher for doing his job.

Thank you from a teacher and parent!

Lady should have her license revoked and have to apologize to him and to all the students she endangered. Explain to them what rules are for and why what she did was wrong.

I support you! Maybe don’t get on the hood of a car, but parents ignoring safety rules is commonplace. This woman has no concept of thinking beyond herself. Leave earlier, lady. Don’t make your problem everyone’s. I hate doing morning drop off duty because of people like her.

It was the parent that was in the wrong. The teacher was trying to protect the kids.

Thank you for protecting kids!! We had a student hit at our middle school because of an impatient parent. God bless you!!

Multiple people have been killed on their way to school in this area. This man was doing everything in his power to keep an irresponsible parent from causing that to happen again. Shame on FBISD if they even consider disciplining Coach Young.

Thank you to this teacher for going above and beyond to protect those children. The news report said “what if a student had behaved in that manner?” What if a student had been in the way of her car when she was driving where she KNEW she should not have been. The rules apply to everyone. Even her.

Please spare this teacher. It is obvious he was dealing with a self entitled woman. What message will you send the community if you allow this woman to go after this defenseless teacher and who would be in trouble had she hit a child? He would. So it is a no win situation for him.

The mother who disobeyed school safety precautions not once, but twice is the problem and is teaching her children to break the rules is the problem.

I appreciate the fact that he was trying to protect the children. Instructions and rules are put in place for a reason. If I am running late whose fault is that? What are we as parents teaching our children if we ourselves cannot follow rules maybe that is one reason our kids are falling behind and having such a hard time in school and in life. Learning starts at home.

We need more teachers and administrators like this! Rita had no business on that elementary school campus! Driving around teachers and cones, a danger to students!
