That parent was out of line! What if she would have ran a child over not following procedure because she was late! That teacher did everything he could to protect children. That should say a whole lot about his character. And that parent and her entitled self, what she did shows her character!

He should not be punished, he should be commended! As a mother of a 6 year old in kindergarten I can only pray that the teachers at her school would do the same in this situation.

Do not feel forced to give into any ridiculous peer pressure to fire this teacher. He acted as he should - with the children’s safety as first priority. The woman ‘Rita’ involved, and her complaint, should be thrown out without any consideration. Trying to get her 15 minutes of fame on the back of a man doing his job.

Parents not following rules is why children think it is ok. Bless this teacher for using this as a teachable moment.

Good for him!! Rules are there for a reason!! We ALL have to follow them. I have run late several times taking my child to school, yes it sucked, BUT what did I do? I stayed in line and parked and got out of my car and went inside the school and had to sign my child IN or OUT!!! I would rather my child be safe!!

I have been a teacher for 20 years and have worked car-riders duty...I know first-hand just how dangerous PARENTS make this for our students simply because they feel entitled and believe that they are above the rules. This teacher should not be punished for doing his job and trying to protect the students under his watch. The PARENT in this video should be the one facing consequences for her actions (and it should also be brought to her attention that she is setting an awful example to her teenage daughter by not following the rules that are in place.)

I am a speech-language pathologist who works in a school. I help with car riders EVERYDAY and see this kind of unsafe, oppositional, and entitled behavior on a regular basis. He made a great decision to actually make an meaningful and long-lasting impression so that it may actually deter her from repeat offenses.

Why punish the teacher? He did what he is suppose to do, protect the kids. That lady was wrong and she should know that.

I would feel safer sending my kids to school with teachers like Mr. Morgan around. Rita was wrong and entitled and seems almost narcissistic and no action should be taken against Mr. Morgan just because Rita has managed to drum up enough pseudo support for herself.
