The coverage on this has been like being in bizarro world. Why in the heck is this mom being given any attention at all outside of everyone demanding and apology from her. Use some common sense. This teacher was doing what he is supposed to. Keeping the learning environment safe.

She should be fined to the max. That was no different than passing a stopped school bus.

This teacher put himself on the line to protect students. That is commendable. Parents need to follow the drop-off rules at all times, even if it means they will be late. Support the teacher, please. Give the parent a ticket.

Having a teacher who is willing to protect students even in the face of a parent who think she is so entitled to break all the rules is someone I would be honored to have teaching my kids.

Teachers protecting children from being hit by cars shouldn't be punished! Rita was wrong and this man is ready to get run over by her to protect his kids. Shame on this district for even considering adverse action against him. Give that man a super hero cape!

This teacher should be commended. He was trying to enforce RULES OF SAFETY, rules that protect children. This woman should have consequences. She’s not above the rules and she is not entitled to be the exception. It’s not like she didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to drive where she went. She just didn’t want to wait. He was not inappropriate.

This teacher should not be punish for going the extra mile to protect smaller children who wouldn’t be able to jump on the hood if she decided not to stop. She broke the rules, she should be banned from elementary grounds.

My wife is an educator and a well have a child in elementary. Safety first, last, and always. This parent was wrong and self-entitled. Her actions do not speak the actions of others. She should publicly apologize for her actions. Fox News needs to re-air the segment highlighting it in a positive manner as this occurred during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Rita, the entitled parent, should be punished and not be able to use the carpool line. Mr. Morgan should be commended for his action. I wish he worked in my kids' school district!

This teacher went above and beyond to protect the children in his care. He should be rewarded, not reprimanded. He's exactly the kind of teacher we need in our schools.

The driver should be charged, she was clearly in the wrong. This teacher did nothing but protect his students. Salute to him for doing that.

He is a HERO. I have seen parents cut the line and I myself am feriois. A few years ago a parent went around the cones @ my child's school and hit a child that walked out from between cars. The child was in an area that had been coned off for children that walk to school. Parent was not suppose to be there. Parent says that she looked away for 1 second to change radio station. What people don't realize this is a monkey see monkey do type of society. Today one person does it tomorrow 2 then all of a sudden everyone does what they want. #HERO

I ask that there be no disciplinary action against this heroic teacher. It doesn't even make sense that there would be. The driver of the vehicle (who continued to drive and threaten him) felt as though the rules meant to protect children didn't apply to her, because she was late. Seriously? And you want to punish the man who made every attempt to keep his students safe? Please reconsider.

Every parent at the elementary probably feels safer knowing he is there. Also, he jumped onto the hood to stop her. Other than that he wasn't even talking loudly enoughto be heard on the video recording. The area with cones is less protected since they assume the cones are doing the job. Had a child been walking thru there it could have been tragic if he wasn't paying attention. Seeing someone cut thru a place where it doesnt happen, would probably put any concerned adult on immediate high alert. Hence his timely reaction. She wasnt concerned about the elementary or its kids, but she's totally concerned about the hood of her car? Please. Desperate tines call for desperate measures. Her hood can take a lick. Those kids can't. Priorities. He wouldn't of jumped on it if the car wasn't there. He did his job.
