Rita is the person at fault here! She acted recklessly and chose NOT to follow the rules! She endangered children! The teacher and staff were doing their job, protecting children and following protocol! This teacher deserves nothing but praise and appreciation.

When my son is older I pray to god his teachers are as concerned for his safety and the safety of other kids as this amazing teacher was.

Trying to protect kids! You should be giving him an award!! The parent in this case needs a fine and you should not condon her actions. Teachers have had enough. It’s high time you start putting parents in there place. She should have to go to parenting classes.

I support this teacher. he prevented any children from getting hurt because that parent thought that her tardiness was more important than an elementary student's safety.

That woman had no business driving through an area that was blocked off. Had she been flying there because she was late and hit a child, then she would be facing charges. That is her problem she is late!! Rules through a school zone are in place to protect kids so she should be the one in trouble not this teacher for enforcing the rules to protect children. Bravo for this teacher! This woman should be ashamed of herself!

He did the right thing. Just because someone is late and disobey the law . Safety comes first she could I had a child and knowing that that car was there . Because she was driving in a restricted area .
