This teacher clearly acted, in the heat of the moment, in the best interest of the students he serves! Legislation needs to be passed to levy huge fines to people who indanger others because they are late...

This mother should be ashamed. The teacher acted fine. Putting himself on the line while the mother ignored two teachers and the cones and is being treated like she was in the right by the reporters. This is truly a sad day when you blame a teacher when it is clearly the mothers fault! I mean the news reporting that it was just a “short cut” and an “ordeal” and let it be praised that her precious daughter was able to take her test on time when the mother is the one that caused all of this in the first place.
How truly sad it is, you can you not know how the teacher at the time felt. If he had to jump on the hood when the mother kept moving forward. Between his adrenaline, anger and wanting to his job the man acted right and the mother was the only one in the wrong. The school should be ashamed for not coming forward and standing

I support this Teacher for his actions against a driver who was clearly disregarding the public school rules, cutting through parking lots, self entitled, and potential endangerment of other children with the disregard for others.
Being late does not justify breaking the law.
The Texas Transportation Code, Sec. 545.423. Crossing Property. (a) An operator may not cross a sidewalk or drive through a driveway, parking lot, or business or residential entrance without stopping the vehicle.
Please give this man recognition and honor for going above and beyond to not allow the potential endangerment of not only other staff members, But students as well. That’s other parents children...
(b) An operator may not cross or drive in or on a sidewalk, driveway, parking lot, or business or residential entrance at an intersection to turn right or left from one highway to another highway.

He should not be punished for doing the job you asked him to do. This woman should learn how to drive. She’s teaching her daughter to be disrespectful and that the rules do not apply to her if she isn’t responsible and rules don’t apply to her. If this woman had hit my child I would’ve gone crazy. Thank God he tried to stop her! He shouldn’t have any negative ramifications because it is moron woman.
