I would only hope that my children have teachers like this one!! The school district is crazy for giving Rita the time of day. She was in the wrong and he was protecting other children. Give him an award, not a headache. He shouldn’t have to be wondering if is he going to be reprimanded for doing what he should have. It is absolutely absurd that the school district is “making a decision on whether or not action will be taken against the employee”! Use some common sense people!!!

This is ridiculous, to even post something so dumb on the news! He was clearly protecting these children. She was running late and passing through a location where she was not allowed to enter! And Her kid is in high school! Smh

Thank you for you heroic actions Mr. young. I hope this a learning opportunity for all as carline is something at every school across the US. No personé should ever have to do this but my child was at your school I would be so appreciative. Thank you. You’ll get though this.

I support this teacher in what he did. I believe his intentions were good and about keeping the children safe. I think all schools across the country need more teachers like him, that our willing to do anything to protect the safety of our children.....I commend him for doing this!

Incredible that this petition even has to exist. The law-breaking woman who went around cones and people in an elementary school parking lot should be ticketed (or worse) for her disregard towards children's safety.

No action should be taken against the teacher. As a matter of fact, ticket the old hag who was driving and don’t let her drive on campus anymore. She should lose the privilege of dropping her own kids off at school after jeopardizing the safety of other children. Her sense of entitlement is sickening and her lack of respect for rules and laws is disgraceful. Do the right thing here people, show these children what right and wrong really are and let that coach be a shining example of what it means to stand up for what is right.

Rita Trimmer-Ray, by her own admission was in the wrong. She was in a parking lot of a school that she doesn't even have children at, went through traffic cones and was continuing on her way through a section of the parking lot that was marked off. Not only did she go through one, but tried to continue through the second, with teachers waving at her to stop. SHE CONTINUED ON without thought of why those cones were there, or if others could be hurt by her actions driving a vehicle. Her attitude towards the teacher through her own words are aggressive. This teacher DOES NOT need, nor deserve discipline for stopping this parent. I would wish that all people had the mindset that they will protect and serve our children at all costs. NO adverse action should be taken against him. That parent, Rita Trimmer-Ray, who blatantly ignored the cones, the teachers trying to gain her attention (which they clearly did-and she chose to ignore them) until Aaron Morgan, teacher, got her attention and stopped her from possibly harming an adult or child, should be commended in the most positive way possible.

I would rather someone jump on someone’s car when they are committing infractions that could harm my child than have to mourn the death or injury of one. He did the right things, what are rules and regulations if people feel entitled to break them.

What this teacher did is commendable. It was the parent who was in the wrong 100 percent! Please don't punish this teacher for trying to protect his students and keep order in a very chaotic situation.
