Shame on entitled parents!

As a teacher I know that occasionally we have to be a little unorthodox to get through to people that think the rules don't apply to them.

The woman who decided to cut through the elementary parking lot during drop off is the only person who should be punished.

The teacher stood by his duty of ensuring the safety of the elementary school kids. It could have been a child that was struck by this lady who was ignoring very obvious traffic direction and other teachers trying to get her to stop. This teacher did what he needed to do, when the traditional "arm flagging" of the first teacher's attempt didn't work. Had it been a kid crossing, he would have been seriously injured or killed. This coach was serving his school and the kids. The driver was acting selfishly with complete disregard for the elementary kids' safety.

I’d be proud if one of my children’s teachers protected them from someone who thought they could break rules just because they had poor time management

How did we turn the hero into the villian!? What he did may have been a bit over the top, but he was not the one breaking the rules and putting children potentially in danger. Let Mr. Morgan keep his job!

Don't punish this teacher for taking action and fighting against entitled parents teaching students bad behavior.

Coach Young went above and beyond to make sure his students were safe. I'm sure this happens often at their school, and it seems that Ms. Trimmer-Ray already knew about the "short cut." Bravo for him for being brave enough to try and put a stop to this behavior that endangers the younger students. That woman may be a member of the community, but her statement to him, 'You don't know who you're playin' with," says it all. And SHE is the one who escalated this situation and had her daughter film so she could post it as she said she would. I hope that she has realized that she is in the wrong and should not have made this public trying to make the man protecting his babies look bad during TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK! She was 100% in the wrong and tried to make herself look like the victim so she could try to make him look bad and make good on her "...you don't know who you're playin' with..." SMH at the horrible example she is setting for her children. And how do we know that she didn't drive at Coach Young and he jumped on her hood so that she didn't run him over? She was still moving when he was on the hood. And of course, she wouldn't have her daughter film that part...

This man was protecting children from a woman who clearly had no intention of their safety.
