Rita was dead wrong and Coach Young acted heroic indeed! Everyone is expected to follow rules and procedures, even when you are running late!

I just graduated college. One of my goals in life is to give back regularly to the elementary school I attended as a child. Mainly I feel this way because of the amazing teachers I had growing up that made an impact in my education and those were the ones that I could tell that cared about me. & man, Does this teacher CARE. I’m 23 I never and usely don’t bother to much with things like this ( I didn’t even vote...). Something in my heart tugged on to me, to find out and make sure this teacher stays teaching. We need more teachers who care this much. I’m not a mom, but who after seeing that wouldn’t feel so much better about leaving their kid at school with falcuty that cares that much.

He deserves a medal not a punishment and the woman,Rita, deserves a ticket for driving through the cones. Come on people. Common sense dictates she was wrong.

Fully support his actions on every level. She could have harmed or killed a student. He was absolutely justified in stopping her by whatever means necessary.

He is trying to keep people from being hit and killed. That lady's time isn't worth more than someones life or even their safety! Good job coach!

The parent was in the wrong by not following the rules! This teacher was doing his job to protect those children! If he waved her down to stop and she kept going, he did what he had to do to get the job done! GREAT JOB!

I wish we had more teachers like him that cared more about the students then about putting their self in a bad situation. And I wish that parents would learn that your child is not her more special than the rest of the children trying to make it to school on time.

I definitely believe this teacher should be commended on going above and beyond sacrificing his body to stop a car driven by a dangerous woman. If a person intentionally drives passed object in place to prevent traffic or accidents then that person is now a danger to everyone in the vicinity, this teacher shouldn't face the repercussions of a careless driver.

How many times does the parent have to be told no, you aren’t taking a short cut.
