Please use common sense and praise this teacher instead of discipling him. All he was doing was trying to protect the children. The mom in question should be ashamed of herself.

As a momma that has my oldest starting kindergarten next year, I can only pray that she will be surrounded by teachers like Mr. Young!!

Yes, his actions were unorthodox but she was breaking the rules. So no discipline action should be taken against the teacher.

I need Mr Morgan across the street from me, where there is an elementary school supporting parental entitlement. Not one of the staff would ever do something this heroic to protect the children. He needs a promotion. We need more teachers with his character

This teacher should be commended for his actions. These are the people we want protecting our children! There should not be any action taken against this teacher. Just the opposite! I hope this woman was heavily fined for her actions!

He was protecting those kids and following the procedures. The parent is out of line and should be talked to about her behavior. Just bc she late, that don’t entitle her. Watching the video made me want to cuss out the parent

With the problems that threaten children everyday, how can you suspend a teacher for going above and beyond to keep those kids safe. If she hadn’t broken rules, none of this would have happened.

Clearly, the parent was not abiding by the rules and Coach Young was doing everything within his capabilities to protect kids and staff from a potential danger. I fully support his actions and quick thinking. You never know who could’ve been on the other end of that steering wheel. Sending love & positive vibes from Norfolk, VA
