I commend this teacher for taking the safety of the children in his care so seriously!! I hope you recognize that he is an asset and does NOT deserve any disciplinary action! The parent was reckless and completely at fault in this case.

This parent willfully entered a blocked off entrance to a campus that she had no business being on. Coach Young was doing his duty to enforce the practices established by the school which were being broken by a parent in a hurry to get to another campus. As a mom of an elementary age child, safety of these kids is paramount especially since these young children are not yet fully aware of their surroundings. Coach Young's actions would not have been necessary had the parent chosen to abide by the rules.

Amazing commitment to the kids and standing up for what is right. We can’t circumvent the rules for the good of many children for the rights of one child. This parents mentality shows exhibits some of the major plagues of our society.

Wow!! The mom’s a flipping idiot! She knows she was wrong. The teacher was just trying to do his job and keep the kids safe. I don’t know how it made the news in the first place!!

Protecting kids should never be punished. That woman needs to learn that rules have to be followed and if they aren’t, it won’t just be ignored.

That lady is teaching her daughter that it sok to break the rules when it’s self beneficial! How to cheat when needed! This teacher is a STAND UP AMAZING PROTECTOR OF STUDENTS. This school would be as delusional as the lady was if they fire him! HE IS ONE OF THE REAL TEACHERS!
