He is a modern day hero. She is not.

Don't you dare discipline this teacher for keeping kids safe from a parent who has zero regard for safety or rules. It's ridiculous you even apologized to her.

I teacher at an ES in Maryland. Arrival and dismissal are crazy! For that woman to ignore barricades and two teachers, RUDE! The teachers would have been in trouble for NOT taking immediate action. That woman should be banned from driving on any school property.

He should be treated as the protector he was that day and not be shamed by a late parent breaking the rules and possible law!

There was no way that woman would had stopped. How else do you protect all those children? Verbally told to “stop” and “no” multiple times. He could had saved a child’s life that day!

It is wrong that she broke rules, risked kids due to her poor planning. He was just trying to protect children.

He did nothing wrong she did not listen she disobeyed the rules. Her and her daughter were old enough to know better they endangers elementary school children and ignored everyone as if she was entitled.

As a teacher in Virginia, I found his actions were bombastic, but nessesary! So many kids are not paying attention in drop off areas, and cones are out out FOR A REASON! She was told to stop by another teacher before, and didn’t. He was taking drastic measures for a bad situation!

I am a teacher at Columbus Bilingual Academy North in Columbus, OH. I would have done the same exact thing if this situation had happened at my school. Children our precious and when they are in our school, it is OUR job to protect them, nurture them, and give them an education.

I walk my daughter (rising 4th grader) to school & have had to step in front of cars too. You’re tardiness does not take precedent over my daughter’s safety. Rita should be reprimanded. And she’s a retired teacher?!?!? Really?!?!?

That lady needs to be arrested for endangering the lives of minors, the audacity of this woman to think getting her child to high school was more important than the safety of elementary school students, also in this day what complete dumbass thinks an elementary school wants random strangers on their grounds.

Women should be arrested! He did the right thing. Rita ignored the first teachers warning not to go around the cones!
