Just because you’re late, doesn’t mean you’re excused from the rules. Leave the teacher alone...someone needed to stop her and prove a point! I applaud him!

I feel he was just trying to protect the kids. She was way out of line acting like she's special. I child recently got killed in that parking lot.

Give this man an award and send the woman to jail for reckless driving and child endangerment.

The fact that this teacher faces the possibility of losing his job for doing his job in the face of an entitled, selfish, woman who had absolutely no concern whatsoever for the safety or security of the people around her including the children that were at the elementary school is absolutely atrocious to me. This man faced down in a moving vehicle that continued to Dangerously, selfishly, and angrily move while he was on the hood, in order to try to protect the students under his charge. His efforts to keep her from cutting through an area that compromised the safety of the students may have been extreme but we're also warranted as she had already refused to stop for previous teachers. Rita, the driver of the car should be facing criminal charges for endangerment of this man by continuing to drive with him while he was on the hood and placing his life in further danger. This man SHOULD NOT be facing the loss of his job while she parades around pretending to be a victim. Rita is not a victim. That woman put children's lives in danger selfishly, frivolously, because she feels entitled and the only person willing to stop her was this teacher and you are going to punish him for it? You're going to punish him for putting the kid's first and doing his job? What kind of a school are you? What does firing a teacher that puts his life below the lives of his students teach your students? Think about that.

I plead with the admins of this school that no further action be taken against this teacher. He’s just the kind of teacher who cares about the kids safety. The parent knows she was breaking the rules and although his conduct may have been dramatic lol I bet she won’t ever do that again. In his defense he did try and flag her down. She should be embarrassed for not listening.

What would happen if this person had dodged the line to intentionally injure children? Would you punish the teacher? Was the teacher supposed to “wait and react” to someone plowing down kids? The parent should be ticketed by law enforcement and the teacher should be commended for doing what is best for the kids attending the school. What lesson are we teaching kids these days if a person doing their job is punished because the steps taken to do the job in the face of contention offends the person who is in the wrong? Is it ok to put kids at risk if we are in a hurry or late? Does entitlement trump following rules and safety guidelines? I guess if this fine teacher is punished in any way we will all see where the school distric has it’s priorities.

This man behaved in the way any reasonable adult would when they fear for a child's safety- he tried to stop her in the best way he knew how. If anything should happen, the mother to the student should be charged with 500 counts of reckless endangerment. The "shortcut" was blocked off for a reason, and when people start being rewarded for breaking rules like this mother did then we know it's time for change.

This man is a hero. No he is not wearing a uniform that that so many Americans died in, but his job is just as important. I rely on teachers to educate my children as well as keep them safe while in there presents. This man did just that. Rules are set up for a reason, this case keep lots of children safe. I am so happy he made the point he did. That could have be a child that mother ran over. PLEASE educate that mother as well as other adults who think they are above following rules. Some of us don't get to hug our babies at night do to no fault of our own.

He was protecting the students. The mother was in the wrong. To punish your teacher is pitiful.
