Absolutely do not punish this man. His instinct was to protect the children and he did it beautifully. I’m thankful for teachers like him!!

This teacher is totally in the right! He was protecting the students from a reckless driver! That woman should be charged! She put students lives at risk by not following the rules!

Ridiculous that he had to JUMP on her vehicle to get her to stop breaking the rules and you want to punish the teacher for trying to get a parent, who should know better, follow said rules. RULES ARE THERE FOR SAFETY and that mother Rita, should thank him for watching out for the children when she clearly did not care.

As an elementary school teacher that also has car duty once in a while I would do the same thing if it came to protecting our kids and staff!

Do not punish a teacher trying to protect students especially when the driver was completely in the wrong by passing a do not enter sign AND driving around traffic cones. I would expect a teacher to protect my child when they are at school This teacher acted out of concern and no other reason. The parent should be cited for traffic violations.

This teacher is a hero. The Mother feels entitled to our elementary children at risk just because she could not get out of her house on time. Bravo to the teacher!!! A former Superintendent of Schools (30 years).

Thank you for putting your own safety at risk in order to protect the children. The driver should be ashamed of the drama which they alone caused.

Although the action may be unorthodox, I believe that the “victim” driver did not follow the rules with multiple warnings and the final warning from this teacher was well intended and the actions happened in just the right moment. Bad driving from parents, cutting lines when already warned once is unacceptable, and showing children (especially the one recording) that you are above the law is disrespectful. This teacher put the childrens’ lives first. I respectfully ask that no termination or harsh discipline be put upon this teacher for putting students’ first and being an enforcer of the law. As a high school teacher myself, I support this man’s efforts to keeping students safe, and the lines orderly-especially when hired as a TEACHER and not a body guard.

I am a teacher too and have been berated by parents during morning drop off. I’ve had coworkers threatened. This teacher was doing his job and keeping the kids safe while enforcing the rules. He should NOT be punished.

THANK YOU COACH YOUNG. If only people were as unselfish and brave as you. Thank you for protecting your students because at the end of the day, that’s what is most important. We stand with you!
