As a mother of two young children, I want to thank him for doing what was necessary so that people are aware that cones and car lines are set up for the safety of the children. I hope my kids' schools will always have someone so courageous.

Where are the consequences for this mother?
If he has ANY it sould be minimal but only if she has a fine for disregarding the kids lives.

I applaud this teacher for his actions. This is a teacher that holds people accountable for their actions, something we desperately need in this country.

She was wrong. He was protecting not only precedure and protocol for the smooth functioning of pick up, he was protecting the safety of the kids and co-workers. Good on him.

I have kids and i see this everyday parents think they can ignore the rules and laws. Unfortunately there’s not enough officers to help out. Rita should be suspended without pay and go before the board of education. And this teacher that stood up for what’s right should be applauded.

Proud of this Teacher for doing his job! Rules are set for a reason and when one parent didn’t abide he intervened thus saving a kids life or anyone that could have been in or near the safe area! God bless him!!!

The mother was very wrong from trying to short cut threw the elementary school to get to the high school! They all strict rules for drop off and pick because the children are ages 4 to 10 years. The school and the teacher are just trying to keep the kids safe! In Decatur County School System the sheriff duputies and police officers are at the schools for drop and pick up. This lady should be fined for her actions. She would not even stop when the teacher was waving his hands at her! Just be late safety first!
