Great job Teacher!. This should be a teachable moment for the parent not the teacher. If it were her kid he was protecting should would have been all about his actions but since she was trying to use a short cut because she was running late...she wants her 15 minutes.

Bet they wouldn’t be saying this if a kid got run over. Good job at doing your job! To the driver don’t cut through school parking lots for real next time I could be a kid flying up on the hood of your car because you hit him because you were in a hurry.

This teacher has my FULL SUPPORT. He is a GREAT teacher that is trying to TEACH OUR children (and ONE lady) about following procedures/rules.

Teacher did what all schools want, protected children, enforced rules, risked himself for safely of his kids. He should suffer not at all, nothing. It thanks. The news should never have ran this story. Parents who cheat and cause safety risks like this lady should have a ticket. How dare this mom attack the teacher and school.

I applaud this man; while it is true his actions may have been "over the top", the fact that courteous requests, cones, and teachers physically directing vehicles dropping off and picking up their students are ignored, is simply appalling. I myself am a mother of four, ranging from elementary to high school, and I have witnessed abhorrent behavior in these lines over the years. I have myself blocked other vehicles trying to cut across blocked off student walking zones with my own vehicle. ( shrewdly, of course) Unfortunately, no matter what rules are in place there will always be those that think not of the safety of everyone, but of themselves, and break these rules. I believe we have a choice: stand idly by while such rules are broken, or be proactive in standing up for what's right. I applaud him for standing up... rather, jumping up!

Absolutely ridiculous that a petition even needs to be organized to defend this teacher. I’d be honored to have him teach my kids

This woman blatantly broke the rules, and the teacher is the one being punished? And for putting his life on the line to protect kids? No. Just no. That is wrong on every level. Mr. Morgan should be commended for his brave and selfless actions.

She Was Totally In The Wrong And SHOULD HAVE Received Multiple Citations. It ia ludicrous that anyone sided with her. In the county I live in she would've DEFINATELY been cited. What would the story had been if the teachers didn't do their best to stop her and she would've struck or even killed a child?? How quickly would the story done a 180°?? People would've been calling for the firing of those teachers and admonishing them for not putting themselves between the vehicle and the lives of their students.

I commend and support this heroic teacher! I would’ve loved to have a person like him, dedicated to the safety and security of children above his own personal safety working at my children’s school! He is the prime example of selfless service that every teacher should emulate! Kudos to him! I would love to send him a personal thank you! I stand behind you sir!

Great Job! Well done! I drop my 8 year old off at her elementary school Monday through Friday, I hope and pray that the teachers there guard my child just like I would. Thank you to all the teacher out there that go beyond and more!

Anyone who has worked or volunteered to help during drop off and pick up deserves hazard pay! Teachable moment for both parties. Always Safety First!

Ms. Trimmer-Ray should be brought up on criminal trespass charges since she was told more than once to stop and turn around and child endangerment for driving her car with careless disregard through an area that students may be traversing that they may believe safe from vehicle traffic. Mr. Morgan went above and beyond, risking self injury trying to protect the kids.
